Counseling for Healers in Seattle, WA

No doubt you chose to be a healer because you have a genuine passion and commitment to help people, something you have probably been doing for many years now. Your work is noble but demanding and is subject to the inherent pitfalls of burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and its associated symptoms.

People like you, who give and give, ministering to the demands and suffering of others, day after day, are frequently expected to be almost superhuman -- strong, confident, wise, emotionally stable, and not subject to everyday human vulnerabilities.

Eventually, trying to uphold these expectations while denying your own authentic needs can lead to a breakdown of one’s spirit, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, confused, frustrated, and in pain. This will inevitably impact your life at work and at home and can be soul-crushing -- a stiff price to pay when you already feel depleted and under-resourced, unable to replenish the energy you are constantly putting out to others. You are not alone.

Change is possible. I have accompanied many on this journey, and I have the experience and skills to help you heal so that you can get back to the work you love and feel whole again.
